Chong Khneas Floating Village The floating village known as Chong Khneas is located across the river from the Angkor Wat temple in Siem Reap. There are people living there and they are constructing houses on the river; the majority of the structures are bamboo with floating wood underneath. The majority of those residing in floating homes are immigrants from Vietnam. If you are arriving by boat from Phnom Penh or Battambang, this is where the boat docks. The distance from Siem Reap's center is around twenty to thirty minutes. You will see sizable paddy fields and stilted homes on both sides of the road as you travel to the floating village. Additionally, you will go by the hill known as Phnom Krom, which is home to an old temple. Tour Price List:
Kampong Phluk Village One village that is larger than Chong Khneas village is Kampong Phluk. The house is located 17 miles from the city, which is a considerable distance. In the monsoon season, entire villages are inundated by floods, giving the impression that the houses are floating on water. The majority of the population is Khmer. Tour Price List:

Mechrey Floating Village It's an amazing experience to see the floating town of Mechrey on the lake's northern coast, not far from Siem Reap. By relocating all of their belongings onto the lake, the people of Mechrey have adapted to living on the Tonle Sap. Restaurants, shops, schools, and homes have all been relocated to floats. Livestock such as pigs and hens are also transported and grown in floating pens. Everything moves toward the new shores as the water recedes. One exception is the village pagoda, an island that is high and dry during the dry season and surrounded by water during the rainy season. It is located more than two kilometers away.
